Tyler Jerram has been an athlete his entire life. Growing up in New Zealand, he excelled at rugby and cricket before discovering road cycling through his older siblings. After a broken collarbone ended his rugby career during university, he returned to running and cycling, reigniting his passion for triathlon. His first 70.3 race in Taupo sparked an obsession, and now he's chasing excellence while keeping the sport light and fun.
For Tyler, triathlon doesn't have to be scary. Through his Instagram with his sister, he shares their sporting escapades to show people you can have fun and race hard. In 2025, he delivered breakthrough performances including 2nd age group at 70.3 New Zealand and a strong 2nd overall finish at the Rotorua Half Marathon. When he's not training in Auckland, he's bringing a positive attitude to Hummingbird and the wider triathlon community. Fully committed to discovering how far he can go in the sport, Tyler continues pushing his limits while keeping things friendly and approachable.
